Salary Schedule for teachers
Sunshine: 2007 - 2010
Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers, Local 1936
The Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers, Local 1936 is interested in addressing the following issues for a successor to the current collective bargaining agreement.
1. Increase salary to honor the agreement made in 2002 (top 25%)
2. Improve health & welfare benefits, including dental
3. Replace Keenan & Associates with an alternate contractor
4. Resolve the effects of substituting during preparation periods
5. Effects of No Child Left Behind
6. Examine the policy of assigning temporary placeholder teachers in the positions left open by teachers on certain extended leaves
7. Provide printed contracts to all bargaining unit members every 3 years
8. Dedicated portion of faculty meetings for union information and announcements
9. Setting aside one afternoon per month exclusively for union meetings and activities, outside of the basic work day
10. Effects of combination classes
11. Physical education staffing ratios
12. Adult education preparation time
13. Teacher incentives for program improvement schools
14. Additional column on the salary schedule
15. Extended work year for nurses
